As you saw in today’s lecture, the rubric for MP1 contains many sections worth many points that rely on successfully matching your idea to a persuasive mechanism through a persuasive affordance. Reminder: affordances are covered on page 227 in the (Fogg reading)[https://dl.acm.org/doi/pdf/10.1145/274644.274677] though they aren’t really defined. You can think of them as ways that have been proven to help a user change behavior. As you are coming up with ideas for MP1, please do take the time to read through the affordances, as they should help you come up with ideas that have a chance of working, both as persuasive technologies and suitable designs for the assignment.
